Courtesy meeting of Chinese Ambassador Song with Honorable Chairperson of the National Assembly Dahal
Kathmandu, August 5. Chen Song, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, had a courtesy meeting with the Chairperson of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal.
Ambassador Song paid a courtesy call today (Wednesday) at Chairperson Dahal's office at Singha Darbar.
During the meeting, bilateral partnership, mutual cooperation and relations were discussed.
During the meeting, Chairperson Dahal discussed that the relationship between Nepal and China is years old and said that the relationship between the two countries is not only at the diplomatic level, but also at the people's level.
Discussing that there is a visit from the level of the Chairperson between the two countries and the regular visits of parliamentary teams, political teams etc. at different times, Chairperson Dahal said that such visits will provide information about cultural diversity, expand new dimensions of development and help in tourism promotion.
Discussing that China's cooperation in the economic and social fields for the benefit of Nepal is unparalleled, Chairperson Dahal expressed confidence that the cooperation will continue in the future. Chairperson Dahal said that he has deep faith that the understandings and agreements between the two countries, including BRI, will be implemented with priority and this will make the relationship between the two countries stronger and stronger.
Discussing the great role of Chinese tourists in the promotion of Nepal's tourism, Chairperson Dahal expressed his belief that Nepal's tourism industry will increase if regular flights from China are resumed at Pokhara and Lumbini International Airports.
Saying that the Himalayan countries are greatly affected by climate change, Chairperson Dahal said that cooperation, cooperation and common understanding between the Himalayan countries is necessary to save the Himalayas and nature.
Informing that the bill to amend the TRC (Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act, 2071) has been unanimously passed by the House of Representatives and has come to the National Assembly, Chairperson Dahal expressed confidence that it will be unanimously passed by the National Assembly as well. Chairperson Dahal expressed his gratitude for the important support of the world community to complete the peace process of Nepal and China's special role in it.
On that occasion, Ambassador Song expressed his congratulations on being elected as the Speaker of the National Assembly and wished him a successful tenure. Saying that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, friendly relations based on mutual benefits have been maintained, Ambassador Song said that after Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Nepal, there has been a significant increase in cooperation and cooperation between the two countries and relations have risen to a new height.
Ambassador Song said that he is very happy that the TRC Bill, which is the remaining work of the peace process, is about to be passed by the Parliament and said that it will be a new leap forward in the peace, stability and development of Nepal.
Ambassador Song said that China is willing to fly directly from various Chinese cities to Pokhara and Lumbini International Airports, which have been recently completed in Nepal, and said that this will significantly increase the arrival of Chinese tourists in Nepal.
