Chairperson Dahal gave Eid greetings


Kathmandu, Chait 29. Chairperson of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal has expressed his best wishes on the holy festival of Islam, Eid-ul-Fitr (Eid). On Thursday, through a greeting message, Chairperson Dahal expressed his wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity and good health to the brothers and sisters of the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid.

Discussing that Muslims celebrate Eid as an important opportunity for harmony, cooperation, trust and achieving common goals, Chairperson Dahal expressed his belief that it will play an important role in maintaining socio-cultural harmony and religious tolerance by creating a sense of sacrifice, dedication, cooperation and unity.

He said that Nepal is an independent nation with multi-religious, multilingual, multicultural and multi-ethnic characteristics and the constitution gives equal rights to all religions, castes, cultures and communities. In his congratulatory message, he said, "The cultures, traditions and festivals of different castes, religions and communities have reflected our diversity. It is also a cultural characteristic of Nepalese to celebrate festivals according to their culture and faith in every religion, caste, community and geography and to respect everyone's culture and festivals."

He has expressed his belief that Eid will play a special role in maintaining religious tolerance, socio-cultural harmony and national unity.
