State Direction Principle, Rules and Responsibility ... Committee

Brief Introduction

Constitutional provisions require that directive principles, policy and obligations referred to in chapter-4 of the Constitution  of Nepal shall stand as guidelines for state administration and the state has to mobilize and cause to be mobilized according to necessity source and resources in order to implement the said principles, policy and obligation. In order to monitor and evaluate whether or not the directive  principles, policy and obligation of the state are  progressively implemented, article 58 of the Constitution requires federal parliament to have one committee pursuant to law. Pursuant to article 97 of the Constitution and rule 27 of  chapter 6 of the Federal Parliament’s Joint Sitting and Joint Committees (conduct of business) Rules, 2018, a fifteen- member committee is constituted with twelve honorable members from the House of the Representatives and three members from the National Assembly of the federal parliament.
